The owners were attentive to our needs and provided us with authentic Jamaican meals, referrals to local sights, and history and current events of Jamaica. We felt like we were visiting relatives.

The Pimento Lodge is a beautiful and peaceful property. The owners take great pride in the buildings, grounds, and the service. The attention to detail is great. The rooms are spacious and luxurious. The grounds are like a botanical garden with incredible views. This is a place to rest and relax and enjoy nature, good food, and good company.
Long Bay may be a little remote for some, but it is a short drive to the many fantastic sights Portland has to offer. The Pimento is on a hill overlooking Long Bay, so there is a steep walk down to the beach, where there are some local sports bars/eateries.
AS Pimento is an eco lodge, the water heater is primarily solar, so the hot water supply may seem inconsistent to some. Overall, you notice the energy conservation efforts very little. You do notice the quality of the wonderful organic and healthy meals that served that result from their organic gardening.
I very much enjoyed my stay at Pimento Lodge and hope to return soon. Over time, the gardens will only become more beautiful and the property will become even more appealing. I recommend Pimento Lodge highly.
