The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with all the amenities listed on the booking platform. However, the restroom door did not have a lock, and locking the apartment door from the inside was a little difficult.
The service and the Location were disappointing.
Communication: The owner was not willing to communicate in English and only texted in Italian. Since I don't speak Italian, I had to translate every message on WhatsApp to communicate with him, which made the entire process difficult and time-consuming.
Check-in and check-out: The check-in process was not smooth. My flight was unexpectedly delayed, and I also faced public transport cancellations on my way to Rome. I did not have internet access during my journey, so I could only inform the owner about my delayed arrival as soon as I reached Rome. By the time I arrived at the apartment, it was around midnight. Although the owner was responding on WhatsApp, I had to search for the apartment using the Google Maps location he sent while translating all of his Italian messages after a long and exhausting day of travel. It was a very stressful experience.
The check-out process was also inconvenient. The owner told me that he would come to collect the keys, but he never showed up or answered my calls. Since I was getting late for my onward journey, I had no choice but to leave the keys in the same place where he had left them for me during check-in, lock the apartment, and leave.
Late check-in fee: Although I informed the owner about my delayed arrival as soon as I reached Rome, I was charged a €30 late check-in fee. I requested a receipt for this payment several times, but the owner never provided one.
Location and transportation: I booked this apartment because it was close to a bus stop. However, I found the location inconvenient for visiting the city's sightseeing attractions. The area is mainly served by buses, which were sometimes delayed, cancelled, or arrived earlier than scheduled. As I was new to the city, this made getting around quite difficult. The nearest metro and tram stations are far from the apartment, which is a disadvantage.

Presión para cancelar fuera de Booking y estancia completamente insegura
No hay absolutamente nada destacable en positivo de esta estancia y no recomendaría este alojamiento bajo ningún concepto.
Experiencia muy negativa desde el primer momento. Estuvimos esperando en la calle hasta que el anfitrión apareció en moto y nos llevó sin casco por un camino de tierra hasta el alojamiento. Las llaves estaban escondidas en la llave de agua general del edificio y la puerta del apartamento no tenía un cierre seguro.
Lo más grave fue que insistió varias veces en que canceláramos la reserva de Booking para entregarle 290€ en efectivo fuera de la plataforma, asegurando que Booking devolvería el dinero. Nos negamos porque, al cancelar, habríamos perdido toda protección como clientes y podríamos habernos quedado sin alojamiento y sin el dinero entregado. Me parece extremadamente grave intentar presionar a huéspedes para hacer pagos fuera de Booking.
El apartamento estaba en mal estado: armario roto, persianas que no funcionaban, sin wifi durante los 5 días, ropa usada en la lavadora, comida abierta de antiguos huéspedes en el congelador y dos toallas manchadas que parecían no haber sido cambiadas. Además, para 5 noches no había ningún detalle mínimo, ni siquiera otro recambio de toallas.
Tras reclamar a Booking, el anfitrión nos escribió mensajes agresivos acusándonos de mentir y de querer “robarles el dinero”.
No recomendaría este alojamiento bajo ningún concepto.
