The property was nicely maintained inside. The decor was nice. The kitchen was a good size and the bedroom was a good size too and the bed was very comfortable. The sofa bed was also surprisingly comfortable given it was just a small couch that drops down flat. The owners were quick to help
when the sofa bed hadn’t been made up and responded immediately to my messages and calls both the day before we arrived and once we were there. The flat was clean and the TV was ok once we connected it to our phones the WiFi was good too. The card game in the living room was a lot of fun and the nice wine glasses and mugs and plates were a good touch. We had a good evening there and made the most of it. It was convenient for a trip to the national space centre and for the price we paid I think it was fair.
The outside of the property was really off putting and it’s not somewhere I would have felt safe to come to or from on my own or with my child. There were random men sitting and standing around on the steps and around the carpark which did feel intimidating. The area itself was very rundown with graffiti and litter and the outside of the flats and corridors were not inviting. There is a notice on the way in about homeless people being reported to police. We went out early to eat and drove out to a nicer area so that we were back before it was dark and we were 3 adults and a teen. However that is not within the owners capacity to change and it was a cheap for the size of the property and how nice it was once inside the flat. Some other things that are also worth mentioning to help others thinking of staying here are: The flat is extremely noisy from the express way directly below the bedroom window and this does not stop all night long and the flat is very hot (we didn’t have any heating on and the window was open on a mild September night). There is one fan in the property, but it could do with at least two -one for both beds and if you do not sleep like the dead make sure you take earplugs. I had a bottle of wine and the bed was really comfy and I still woke up so many times to traffic noise and baking hot. Really this flat is more suitable for a couple, the sofa bed whilst comfortable enough is not really big enough for more than one adult unless you like to spoon all night 🤣. My 13 year old shared with an adult and they slept ok for one night but it wouldn’t have been suitable for multiple nights. Also there is no microwave if that’s important to you and the desk is a small square fold away table and matching folding chair in the entrance to the bedroom. So if you’re planning to work there it might not be suitable.

I stayed here last year. Loved it. Stayed again. This time for 3 weeks, 4/7-10/7. Went to Cornwall in between. Back 17/7 - 27/7 and now 27/7 - 6/8. This apartment has everything you could possibly need. Clean and beautifully furnished. The location is almost in town. Easy access to coach station, bus station, and supermarkets. Communication, if needed, with the owner is very good. I would truely recommend staying here. I will be definitely coming back here next year. For now enjoying my stay here. Sorry that we couldn't stay longer. I could if I would. Finally a massive thank you to the owners for such a lovely place.
I can honestly say that I loved everything about this apartment. I had nothing to complain about.
