The Space:

The space



Step inside and be greeted by a comfortable queen size bed in the master bedroom, ensuring a peaceful night’s sleep. The living area features a convenient pull-out sofa, perfect for accommodating additional guests.



Experience the beauty of nature from the top deck, where ample seating allows everyone to enjoy the mesmerizing sunrises, sunsets, and even rocket launches visible from the marina.



Unwind on the front porch while listening to your favorite tunes on the stereo system, or indulge in a movie night on the large screen TV in the living room.



Create culinary masterpieces in the modern kitchen, equipped with everything you need to prepare delicious meals.



The bathroom is a true oasis, boasting a lavish walk-in shower.



As the gentle rocking waters lull you to sleep, choose from one of the two cozy beds for a restful slumber.



Step just a few paces away and treat yourself to a mouthwatering meal at the tiki bar, or take a leisurely stroll around the charming marina.







The Shangri La is permanently docked and not able to be taken out onto the river.

There are door had digital locking. Please safely enter & exit the vessel as there is the potential for minor rocking.

While we have taken careful consideration to provide the safest & most customer-friendly accommodations, please be aware that this is a houseboat and there are certain contingencies that guests must acknowledge.

Guest Access:

Guests of the Shangri La have access to a variety of amenities. Enjoy the comfort of your private houseboat, including the master bedroom with a queen bed, the living area with a pull-out sofa, a modern kitchen, and a bathroom with a walk-in shower. Step outside to the top deck for stunning waterfront views or relax on the front porch. The Dolphins Waterfront Bar & Grill is also available for dining and drinks. Explore the marina, rent kayaks or paddleboards, or simply relax and enjoy the resort atmosphere. The marina is not part of the resort, so there is no access to the resort's pool or clubhouse.

Dolphins Waterfront Bar & Grill at Cape Crossing is open and is is the largest tiki bar and restaurant on Florida’s Space Coast. With a Florida fresh theme with a Polynesian twist it is the perfect place to relax and get a bite to eat!



Kayaks, paddle boards, and pontoon rentals and boat slips are available, at Cape Crossing Resort and Marina, for exploring the rivers, canals, or many of its tributaries for a relaxing afternoon paddle. Or, entertain friends and family while cruising at a gentle pace along the river’s edge. Plan a day at the beach or explore the other attractions in our Merritt Island community.



Getting Around:

Getting around Shangri La is easy! While the houseboat itself is docked and does not move, you'll find ample parking right near your bungalow. For exploring the area, you're conveniently located near major roadways, making it simple to drive to nearby attractions, beaches, and restaurants. Public transportation options are limited directly but Ubers and Lyft are here. The Orlando International Airport (MCO) is approximately a 35-minute drive away, providing easy access for those flying in. Enjoy the freedom of exploring the Space Coast at your own pace!



Other Things to Note:

Please note: Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM. Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request, subject to availability. Parking is readily available near the houseboat; spaces are not assigned. Guests are expected to leave the unit in a reasonably clean condition. Additional cleaning fees may apply if the houseboat requires excessive cleaning after your stay. Smoking is permitted on the outside decks, but not inside the houseboat. We are a pet-friendly property, and a pet fee will be charged per pet; please inform us in advance. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Enjoy your stay!
