The location was perfect for us — just a one-minute drive from the Ol Pejeta gate, which made getting in and out of the conservancy incredibly easy.
Our cottage was spacious, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable, and the property itself is beautiful and peaceful. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming.
Susan has kindly arranged a chef for us for a small additional fee. This turned out to be a fantastic choice! We enjoyed delicious picnic lunches for our days out and wonderful Kenyan food for dinner — everything was fresh, tasty, and beautifully prepared.
Overall, Mavana Cottages was excellent value and a lovely place to stay while visiting Ol Pejeta. We highly recommend it and would definitely stay here again!

I had an amazing stay at Mavana Cottages and would happily return. The room and facilities were spotless, the breakfast was delicious and filling, and the staff truly went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. The location is perfect—being so close to Ol Pejeta meant I got to see wildlife during my morning and afternoon walks, and watching the sunrise over Mt. Kenya from my cottage rooftop was an unforgettable experience. Evenings by the pool were incredibly peaceful and relaxing.
Honestly, there was very little to dislike about my stay. Everything was well maintained, and the warm hospitality made the experience even more enjoyable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mavana Cottages to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

The location is excellent for Ol Pejeta Conservancy, only a couple of minutes drive to the entrance. The staff were really welcoming and friendly, even when we arrived late on our first night. We stayed for 3 nights and felt like the cottage was really well equipped for us as a couple self catering - the kitchen was particularly nice.
