The cottage was set in a lovely quiet setting on the edge of a hamlet. Although there were other cottages to let on the site each was screened off so it felt like you were in your own private space. The cottage was immaculately clean, equipped and well laid out with plenty hot water available. Beds were. Dry comfortable with lovely soft linen and towels. Emma, our host, kept us informed at all stages and responded very quickly to any questions. My friend and I were attending a local pottery course but did manage a couple of walks in the local nature reserve down by the estuary which is lovely with lots of birds about. We ate in the cottage, cooking facilities were good, and went out to Casa Mia in Dumfries one evening (very busy and noisy but food was excellent). Thank you Emma for a lovely stay.
If we were being picky - a washer drier would have been convenient (just used the towel rail to dry things overnight) and we found the hob a bit unresponsive but got used to it.

Beautiful well equipped cottage. Quiet with lovely scenery.
We were staying for three nights and had booked this cottage because it had an EV charger. Unfortunately despite our repeated efforts we were only able to charge once which left us trying to find a working public charger which took most of the following day.
