It was close to the beach. The beach was private. We found lots of nice shells and sand dollars. My husband fished from the beach and caught a bonnet head shark and several salt water cat fish. It has a nice pool. It wasn’t crowded while we were there. We never had to wait long for the elevator. That was a plus because it’s on the top floor. Might be an issue during busy season. We met some really nice people everyday by the pool. The penthouse was well equipped with everything we needed.
There was construction going on that we were not aware of when we booked. They tested the fire alarms the first morning after we arrived….at 8am. They went off for over 2 hours. It was also hard to relax by the pool with all the noise from the construction. We couldn’t use the front stairs because it was blocked off and our view from the balcony wasn’t the best with the ropes from construction hanging down in front of it. There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. Patio furniture was a tall set which was not good when the storms came. They kept blowing over and banging into the sliding door. We had to keep going out and moving them.

Just about everything.
On my last morning, I packed up most of my things, then went for a last walk on the beach. My plan was to shower & change before heading to the airport. Checkout is listed as 11:00. At 10:20, I returned to find the cleaning staff already ripping up the whole place, moving my things out of their way. They were not pleased when I demanded to take a shower. In fact, they stayed in the room and continued cleaning as I showered and dressed. Unacceptable. This rushed & panicked exit, of course, cast a long shadow on my otherwise lovely stay.
