Exclusive All-Season Lakefront Cottage on Big Rideau Lake
Welcome to this classic, all-season lakefront cottage located in the heart of Big Rideau Lake. The main cottage offers spectacular panoramic lake and sunset views through large surrounding windows, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere year-round.
This spacious property features five bedrooms accommodating up to 10 guests, plus pull-out beds for up to 4 additional guests (additional charge applies for groups over 6). All beds are prepared with fresh linens, and clean towels are provided for your stay.
The cottage includes a large all-wood sunroom with ample seating and a breakfast table, ideal for relaxing while enjoying the lake views. Inside, you’ll find a large living room designed to accommodate everyone comfortably, featuring a fireplace and a Samsung flat-screen Smart TV with access to all major streaming apps, including Netflix, Disney+, and more (guest logins required).
The fully equipped kitchen offers two sinks and includes all necessary cookware and kitchen supplies. Additional amenities include three washrooms, a sauna, and a mini-bar. For extended stays, a washer and dryer are available (detergent not supplied).
Outdoors, enjoy full and unrestricted waterfront access with a large private dock that can accommodate several boats. The swimming area features deep, clear water with no rocks or weeds at the end of the dock. A lake-view outdoor fire pit comfortably accommodates all guests, while the expansive backyard—set on approximately one acre of land—is perfect for BBQs, outdoor gatherings, and events.
The property is air-conditioned and heated by wood and/or propane (firewood not included). Surrounded by mature trees, shrubs, and fencing around approximately 70% of the property, the cottage offers excellent privacy. The driveway provides parking for up to six vehicles.
Big Rideau Lake is known for its wide-open waters and excellent fishing. Motorboat rentals are available from a nearby marina.

Overall, we had a good stay and there were several things we really enjoyed about this property. The location and scenery were beautiful, and there was plenty of room for everyone in our group to spread out comfortably. Communication with the host was timely and helpful. We did have an issue with the water pressure and water running out before even a quick shower. Owner did reach out but we were super busy with wedding prep and wedding to keep communicating with owner about problem. Check-in and check-out were very easy. We also appreciated having two refrigerators, which made storing food and drinks for a larger group much more convenient. Access to the pots and pans was challenging especially in the corner cabinet. In addition, the property was not as clean as we expected which was mentioned in several reviews. Know feedback from owners said one person did cleaning. With such a big house may need 2 cleaners. Finally, guests should be aware that there are quite a few steps leading down to the cottage, which may be difficult for some people. Went back and read description and could not find that info.While the property has great potential because of its location, size, and responsive host, improvements to cleanliness and water pressure would significantly enhance the guest experience

very comfortable, the interior, appliances and beds are all up to date. I t was well equipped. If you have mobility issues this may not be the place for you as the property is on an elevated grade from the water to the cottage and from the cottage to the parking area. Great place!

We stayed at the Lakefront Cottage on Big Rideau Lake from April 23 to April 26 and had an excellent experience. The property itself was beautiful, well-maintained, and fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.The host was very easy to reach and always responded quickly, which made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. We especially appreciated how well-stocked the cottage was—every amenity we could think of was available.Overall, we had a very relaxing weekend enjoying the peaceful lakefront setting. It was the perfect getaway, and we would definitely consider staying here again.

The cottage is very nice but unorganized. No towels in the bathroom. we had to search every closets to find them. We ended up finding them piled up in the dryer. We never found the booklet with the check out instructions.
