Nice view, spacious, but building needs some serious maintenance!

The view from the apartment was beautiful and the rooms were spacious

Although the apartment is privately owned, the building itself needs some maintenance. The apartment was located on the top floor. To take the stairs you will need to climb 14 flights. If the building doesn’t work on repairing their elevators, this is how many flight you will need to climb. During our stay, my family of 7 (adult children, newborn grandbaby and their spouses) boarded the elevator with 3 strangers. After the door closed, the elevator tried to move and became stuck. The elevator bounced up and down for some time. We called for help and 20 minutes later, the fire department came to our rescue (HUGE thank you). My family were horrified after the incident and climbed the 14 flights of stairs to get back to the apartment. This morning as we packed to check out, another family was stuck in the elevator for 45 minutes. I know this is not the fault of the apartment owner, but this incident was traumatic. We texted the management company to make them aware and their first response was “so sorry for the inconvenience “. This was more than an inconvenience! This IS a safety hazard and it needs to be addressed. Two separate incidents within 24 hours is a problem.

It was roomy and comfortable. The view of the ocean was spectacular! Most of the neighbors are permanent residents, and they were all so friendly and nice. We had a 4 month old that we had in a beach wagon and had a nice couple help us carry the wagon up & down the steps to the beach. All the condo owners and employees were so helpful. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!
