Not a pleasant experience

The spare bed for when i first was uncomfortable

I didnt stay at this apartment i was 'upgrade' out of the town centre to a 2 bedroom in rubislaw. It had no heating, the fridge wasnt ready for use, there was empty box in the livingroom. No blub or shade on livingroom light. Master room bathroom shower door was broken and water on the floor. Toilet seat was broken. Master bed mattress didnt fit bed. Lamps were broken. Smaller room was ok apart from the bed physically moving as we turned. The main bathroom had a stained bath with a kids sticker on the side. The floors were laminate with 3 or so patches of tape for the cracks.

The location was great.

The location was excellent, close to the city centre. The bathroom was clean & It was very useful to have a fridge & washing machine available.

The apartment was very ‘tired’ in an old dark converted building. It smelled of smoke & there did not appear to be any wifi. The internet reception was very slow. My midnight check in was stressful as the property wouldn’t send me my door code until I uploaded further ID & then once inside the building there were no instructions as to which apartment it was.

Only communication with the property was to tell me that they couldn't accommodate my booking, after taking payment when it was too late to cancel & that was only because I contacted them to get the keys

Horrendous. Avoid avoid avoid!

Due to issues encountered. Nothing positive to report.

Bad odour throughout the flat & place was unclean. Poor communication & access instructions. Stayed 5 minutes, as accommodation was unacceptable. Struggling to get our money back.

Good value for the price with everything we needed for our stay.

Check in was a bit complicated, we needed to write to the owner who then sent a person to give us the keys, but that made us wait in front of the flat for 25 min (we had informed about our arrival time beforehand). I would advise sending a text to the owner beforehand making sure someone is waiting to give you the keys. Maybe they will use the key lockers next time, because that's where we had to leave the keys when leaving.

Check-in was confusing. As per the name of the accommodation - you get a basic one bed apartment which is certainly not for everyone, especially if you like modern hotels.
