Most peaceful camping & lodge grounds in close vicinity to Amboseli with a perfect view of Kilimanjaro, super-friendly staff (thanks Levi!) and a great cook. Needless to say that an Amboseli tour is a must, the small park is amazing and animal density is breathtaking.
Bring your food and drinks as there's no infrastructure close-by, water and a nice breakfast are included, and the evening menus prepared by the chef are great and full of variety though a bit on the costly end.
I booked a double room including kitchen and private bath, and although it was clarified soon after by PM that I had booked a tent stating that booking.com does not allow to list lodges AND tents (and although we DO like camping) I dislike the fact that even a written confirmation of a room booking does not count.

The staff, food and common area was excellent. As we were in the budget tent we could store our bags in the upstairs common area and relax on the couch with an amazing view of Kilimanjaro.
On arrival our budget tent had 2 broken zips which we didn’t notice until we went to bed. They were promptly fixed the next day but should have been fixed prior. One mattress in the tent was an inner spring and comfy and the other a foam mattress that wasn’t any good.

Dîner près du feu pour nuit de noces non réalisé et pourtant ils nous avaient dit oui
Pas d’aide pour réservation de train ni d’achat de ticket pour le safari (nous avons du acheter notre ticket à la porte du parc et cela nous a fait perdre 25 minutes)
