We loved Emerald Hotel! The decor is beautiful, great wardrobe space, big bed and the air conditioning was just right - not too cold. The location is fab.. close to the metro, good food spots and night life but a tad quieter than other spots we have stayed at which we enjoyed. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

The gentleman who was on reception was very kind and helpful, took our bags up etc. He was very helpful in booking us an early taxi and showed us to the restaurant which was lovely. The food in there was excellent- we had lunch and breakfast and both were lovely, the coffee was so good!
The room itself is lovely designed, clean and comfortable- the amenities were great.
The location is also really good - central and everything was in walking distance.
I felt like this was more of a B&B rather than a hotel. There isn’t really anyone on reception much, there is no lobby and the restaurant is attached to the building, as opposed to part of it.
We had the misfortune of having a room that was at the top of the stairs AND overlooking the busy street.I am a light sleeper and this meant I was constantly being woken up by noise outside and inside the building- people slamming the front door, clattering up and down the stairs etc. the curtains also let light in which didn’t help much.
Because of the lack of being able to sleep I don’t think we would return. I think perhaps if we had had a room towards the back of the building we would have had a different experience!
