This is the second time we've stayed at this hotel and both times were pretty good. I asked for and received a quiet room, with early check-in, which really helped our logistics. We accepted a room on the south side of the hotel, in order to get early check-in, and as expected there was some highway noise (a major road/highway runs right along the south side of the property. The included breakfast wasn't great, but it had a lot of carbohydrate choices and it served its purpose. The scrambled eggs were dry and overcooked, but there were many choices of salsas and hot sauces to compensate. We were glad to get coffee and some food, without having to eat at a restaurant or the airport. The hotel is located near many fast food restaurants and some upscale shopping. It was nice to walk around the outdoor mall area at night. There don't seem to be a lot of highly-rated hotels in Reno, so I would definitely stay in this one again.
I like a really quiet room. If possible I would try the north side of the hotel, which might shield you from some of the highway noise. On the plus side, I heard no noise through the walls, floor, or ceiling and only one short incident of noisy children and barking dog in the hallway (yes, they do allow dogs) during our stay. It was a noisy interruption, but very short, thanks to the courtesy of those guests.

We spent the whole first night killing ants in our room
. I was given glass cleaner and all purpose cleaner and made to deal with them myself. They were all over the room.
