A real gem of a place- really cosy and homely from the minute we arrived. The facilities are top notch with everything you could really need, with lovely additional touches like a jar of pasta which made that first night’s meal much easier. The TV above the bed is perfect for evenings in. Excellent location for exploring the West Riding of Yorkshire- Sheffield, Leeds, and York are all no more than an hour away, so perfect for exploring these. Justin and Vic are the loveliest hosts and couldn’t do more for us. Only wish now we had have booked longer as it felt like a real home from home. Will definitely be back if we’re in the area again.

It was in a quiet location, easy to get around on public transport and some lovely walks in the area. The facilities at the lodge were great, everything you could need for a stay including a full kitchen. The beds were comfy, the shower was lovely & the little outdoor space was great too. Justin was a wonderful host, always easy to contact with any questions and took time to explain to us about a couple of walks in the local area for us to do including sending us a little video of how to access one of the walks.

Everything. We were up for the snooker in Sheffield and wanted to stay within easy travel of the city without actually staying there. The accommodation is in the host's garden but has its own access. Everything was very clean and the host had provided tea, coffee, honey, butter and every condiment you could imagine. Despite being small, it didn't feel cramped. The host, having discovered we were attending the snooker, was quick to assist with recommendations for parking and food.
A window blind in the bathroom would have been useful (despite not being overlooked, you might feel a little vulnerable with the bathroom light on). There really wasn't anything else to fault, we wouldn't hesitate to return.
