~10 min walk from the station. Very clean & modern hostel, with nice showers. Beds are comfortable and built-in so you don’t have to worry about your upstairs neighbor tossing & turning. Locker rooms available in-room for valuables. Front desk was able to arrange luggage forwarding to Imabari for me. A great one-night stay as I prepared for the Shimanami Kaido.

Lemonsea hostel is clean and functional. The staff were helpful with directions to the nearest supermarket and accommodating left luggage while we were cycling the Shimanami Kaido. They offer bike rental at the same rate as the big store next to the station.

It’s a really well designed hostel, a lot of thought has gone into the aesthetics and it’s definitely pretty
The rooms are big and spacious and with plenty of room to repack your bag
They offer a wash and dry service for clothes
It’s not super far away but still a bit of a walk with your backpack
You can’t wash your own clothes, you hand them over and they are returned to you. I had a nice convo with the guy working there initially but after an interaction where the conversation made me feel a little uneasy about being a solo female traveller in a quiet area I made a conscious effort to avoid more talks. I know it’s my own experience and maybe I took it deeply, I also I can’t see any reviews to give a similar vibe that people felt uneasy but I think it’s still worth a mention.
Nothing very social going on here but got chatting to someone in my dorm and we shared a drink at the bar in the evening
