This cottage was absolutely perfect for our needs. It was super clean and had everything we needed to make breakfast and cook meals.
The bed was very comfortable and the bedroom was not over full with furniture we did not need (which I've found to be the case in many places and is a personal dislike) so there was lots of space. We had a choice of two bedrooms.
The location is perfect, a short stroll into Stornaway and to Tesco. It was incredibly peaceful, very easy to forget we were so close to the centre of Stornaway.
We were late arriving, due to our plane being delayed and the cottage felt rather chilly but we had been given clear instructions to boost the heating for an hour, which we did, the cottage immediately warmed up and we did not need the heating on again for the rest of our stay. We didn't get chance to light the fire but it was lovely to have the option.
There was always space to park the car easily.
This cottage does not feel like a bland holiday rental, it feels like a home, in a good way. I would like to return.
The cafetiere only makes one mug of coffee at a time, so you might have to haggle over who gets their morning coffee first but this isn't a complaint, it was nice to have a cafetiere.
After our stay I discovered my nephew and girlfriend had stayed a short while before, they were also very happy with the cottage.

The cottage was extremely comfortable with everything that you could possibly need. Janet has done a great job. Excellent location, short walk to the main shops with a large supermarket 5mins away. A home away from home.
