Umoya is an incredible lodge. The facilities, the location, the tranquility, the attention to detail, but especially the staff. The staff is what makes this place so unique. You feel instantly welcome and looked after as friends, rather than guests. One of our party had food allergies, and all the team went out of their way to understand these and ensure we could be catered for...going as far as buying new kitchen equipment to ensure minimal risk of contamination. The food was excellent, and Happy and his team never failed to deliver. The bar staff, Jan, Chris and the others, always ensured your glasses were full and were great fun during our time in the main lodge. But a real highlight were the game drives. Rassie, our guide, is exceptionally knowledgeable and his passion for the bush and wildlife was always evident...and he loved sharing this with the guests. This was a truly memorable stay and I'm sure we'll be back. Thank you, Umoya

Foram 4 dias inesquecíveis para mim e minha família. O lodge é lindo, bem decorado, iluminado, assim como os quartos, muito aconchegante, tudo novo. Mas o que fez a estadia ser maravilhosa foram as pessoas de lá. Rassie, nosso herói na busca incansável pelos animais, nos contagiou com a sua simpatia e sabedoria sobre a vida dos animais. O Chef David nos presenteou com pratos deliciosos preparados com carinho. El nos fez sentir em casa, enquanto que Jan nos esperava com um sorriso no rosto. Aprendemos muito sobre a vida dos animais, esse mundo fantástico que nos fez valorizar cada minuto dos games. Apreciamos pôr do sol e nascer do sol incomparáveis. Valeu cada minuto!

Mooie locatie met mooie verzorgde kamers, lekker eten, goede game drives met ervaren ranger. Uitzicht vanuit de centrale lodge en de kamers is eerder beperkt (enkel bush). Personeel doet erg zijn best maar hier zit zeker nog verbetering in. Je merkt dat het een jonge equipe is die nog weinig ervaring heeft in de horeca.
Bij het vertrek deed het jonge management niet eens de moeite om ons te bedanken en vaarwel te zeggen. Zij blijven onbewogen aan hun tafeltje zitten en waren blijkbaar veel drukker met andere dingen. Dit gaf ons geen goed gevoel. Er zit zeker nog verbetering in gastvrijheid om hun cliënteel meer een thuisgevoel te geven. De juiste details ontbreken no, dus werk voor verbetering.
