Áslundur Lakefront Villa was perfect for our group of five adults. It’s a stunning villa with beautiful views in a perfect location.
The villa is very well equipped, with plenty of space for everyone. The lounge is a lovely place to spend time, offering amazing views of the lake, and the additional games room provided another great space for us to relax and unwind after days spent exploring Iceland. The bedrooms are very comfortable, with great beds, and the kitchen had everything we needed.
The location of the villa is ideal for exploring the Golden Circle and the south of Iceland. The town of Selfoss is only a 10-minute drive away and has lots of restaurants, shops, and supermarkets. It’s a really lovely town, and we enjoyed spending time there a lot.
Communication with our host, Sigyn, was excellent. We were provided with everything we needed to find the villa, get the keys, and use everything inside. We also received lots of helpful information about the local area and Iceland in general, which was very useful.
I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Áslundur Lakefront Villa again, or at any of this host’s other properties.

The property had all the amenities we needed. The owner is so thoughtful. From kitchen amenities to bathroom amenities, it was perfect. Our group had an enjoyable time at the house.
