The hotel is very nice, easily accessed covered valet area, leading directly to check in. Check in was flawless, and front desk staff were very courteous and helpful. The reasons for four stars are 1. Price, we paid premium price for one night stay on a Thursday night. Definitely not worth the price we paid. 2. Bottled water not provided, they give each room a carafe of water that was present when we arrived. While this is nice, I cannot trust that carafe has been washed/sanitized between guests. 3. There is not a menu with prices for the in room mini bar. Bottles of wine, soda and light snacks are in the mini bar, but no pricing provided. 4. The bathroom had a huge, large height tub only with overhead shower. While this is aesthetically pleasing, not great for guests who are older that have to climb over the huge tub with no grab bar available either. 5. The pool is lovely, but tiny. More than 10 people in the pool and it is very crowded.
Overall the location is great, but still, for this price point I expected better amenities, a walk in shower and bottled water I could trust to drink.

The bed was very comfortable and bathroom toiletries were exquisite (because of these things I gave an extra star). The room was pleasant, but sparsely furnished. Wish we had a chair to sit in. Window seat looked stylish but was not comfortable. Bartender in the lobby only knew how to make the few specialty drinks the hotel offers. He didn’t know how to change the TV either. No icemakers in public area, had to ask staff for ice, and had to give them something to put it in. For the price of the hotel I expected more.

The staff was amazing, The bar and restaurant were both great. The location was perfect. You walk out on a great section of downtown.
