Location was fabulous, close to everything.
The apartment was spacious, washing machine and air conditioning worked well.
I have deliberated on my review as the apartment has so much potential and character. We also rent our holiday home and attention to detail is critical for guests when staying in your home, but the apartment was not up to scratch. The property needed a really good clean - The bathroom, kitchen cupboards and linen all needed a lot of attention.
We booked a stay for three of us and were asked to use the fold out couch as opposed to a single bed that we found downstairs by chance that had no linen on it for our son. The duvet was in a cupboard and had clearly been used prior to our stay. There was no pillow available so we used a couch cushion and blanket instead. Linen was not fresh.
The stairs to downstairs were tricky but to be expected in an old place.
Very underwhelming I’m afraid.

The location was fantastic. The apartment was clean and nicely laid out. I enjoyed the shower.
The Wifi hardly worked. There were no sheets on the beds in the second bedroom so my kids had to sleep on top of a duvet. The stairs going to the bedrooms are treacherous and my husband, who is 6 feet tall, hit is head many times on the ceiling going up and down the stairs. The host ignored my message to request leaving our luggage in the apartment for an extra hour after check out as the luggage storage place was closed (I messaged him more than 24 hours before check out and he just ignored it).

Good central location. Plenty of room with good facilities. Lovely terrace
Okay for us but the bedrooms were down some stairs that might cause some people a bit of difficulty
Also to get to and from the second bedroom you have to walk through the first one.

Excellent location - right in the centre of old town. Loved Hats bakery nearby
The apt is comfortable but the fact that the bedrooms are in a deep basement is not clear from the description. 13 steep steps down to the bedrooms in a dark basement. The terrace is very nice on entry level but furniture was unclean and not well maintained.

"We stayed at Le Baudelaire in early May 2026. We didn’t see any of the issues complained about on some reviews, except for the main lighting in the second bedroom which was still out. But there was pl..."
