No reception, all self service. Room was noisy and bright, could do with blackout curtains

The pillows - too hard and well stuffed seems to be a thing with pillows should be one soft and one firmer to cater for different tastes.

The room was clean and comfortable. Obtaining the key was an unusual experience with texted passcodes to gain access.

We were put on the top floor, fortunately for a couple in lateish 70's, we are reasonably fit, even so, having to carry cases up 4 flights of stairs was hard work, there was no lift. The hotel, which in my opinion was more of a hostel; with communal cooking facilities and fridges. We happened to bump in to a cleaner who was helpful in pointing us in the right direction for our room, as far as I could tell, the only member of staff in the place. The premises are adjoining an industrial estate, so the image of a quiet riverside setting was not what I expected. Perhaps I should have researched more before booking.
