Had a problem because owner ripped us off organising driver for trip to airport. Stayed in some fantastic accommodation in Colombo, Ella and Aragum Bay and the whole 8 nights in SriLanka we never felt scammed or ripped off by anyone throughout the trip . When staying at all the properties until this one we had tours, rides and recommendations organised for us with amazing results . So while dining at hotel restaurant and chatting to owner we had him organise our lift to airport for the morning, we trusted him to organise a reasonable deal and obviously would have paid a little extra because hotel is hidden up a laneway and hard to find. When we arrived at airport and went to pay driver he told me I’d already paid . I was expecting to pay him about $10000 KLR as our trip from international airport to The Galle Face Hotel on arrival was only $8000 KLR. At that stage I thought I had paid final bill was for accommodation, meal and alcohol then realised I’d already paid for accommodation the day before. I had contacted hotel and discussed the issue. I accept there may have been a communication problem, but a large inflation of a price that can be easily checked on google these days is not an accommodation I’d like to revisit especially after such a beautiful holiday in a awesome country.
