I would highly recommend The Stables if you are looking for a great place to stay near the west coast. Close to local amenities and the beach. We were met by the host Lynsey and first thing she asked was if I would like a stair gate fitted for my 2 year old grandchild which she put on straight away. Lynsey showed us how to work the hot tub and heating, it was quite nice meeting the host face to face as I go on a few trips a year with family and this is the first time I have met the host in person, while I understand people are busy especially on working farms and I am ok with this it was nice to speak to the host and to be informed of anything we might need to know. There was an amazing welcome hamper which everyone loved and made good use of. The accommodation was even better than the pictures suggested as there has been some upgrades since they were posted, for example a large gazebo over the hot tub which is definitely a bonus with the unpredictable Scottish weather 😀, the rooms were all very comfortable and extremely clean with lots of room, bathrooms and kitchen were all modern and decorated to a very high standard, there was no shortage of towels to use in the property which is also something I have never experienced before so we had plenty to use for bathing and the hot tub. My grandson really enjoyed having the space to play inside and out and wherever he was it was easy to keep an eye on him at all times. The garden was a perfect size for him and hot tub cover wasn’t one of the ones you have to lift off or can push so was safe to allow him the freedom of the garden as he wasn’t able to open it himself. We loved the property so much we have booked to go back next year.
