Wonderful location, very quiet neighborhood but short walk to busy area with lots of restaurants and such. Very easy access to subway in two directions from the apartment. Nice kitchen area and living room sitting area. Liked that it was on the 1st floor of building. The area felt very safe, even when coming home late at night.
There happened to be a bit of construction happening on the first floor in the areas we had to walk through to get to the apartment, so it was a little confusing at first as to where our apartment door actually was. The two bedrooms are in a loft area with steps to get to it - sort of combination of a ladder and stairs to get up there, a bit steep. We left all our luggage downstairs and did not try to take much upstairs. Just needed to be careful going up and down. We were plenty comfortable in the bedrooms, which was assisted by floor fans that were available to use (I don't think there is any air conditioning in the building but we did not need it as we were there in mid-Sept). The shower is a handheld device over the big tub and there is no shower curtain or door to contain water, so it was harder to make sure water did not get on the floor. Internet service was good both upstairs and downstairs. It was a cute apartment and good for three of us for a few days.
