The hotel is in a very good location, and the rooms were clean and neat. The staff were very professional and helpful.

Improve the breakfast. Make it more inclusive.

The resort is within a complex which keeps the city noises out. The food though Veg, is absolutely delicious, the staff is eager to help and overall are prompt in solving and issues. It is on the major road which makes it ideal if you are trying to avoid the city traffic if you are driving in or out of Varanasi.

There was nothing I did not like.

We stayed here in December 2025. The room was genuinely lovely ,spacious, bright and very cozy. We really liked the vibe; it actually felt like a retreat from the chaos outside. The chef is outstanding. He truly has flavour in his hands. Both the breakfast buffet and in-room dining were delicious, fresh, and well portioned for two people. Easily one of the highlights of our stay. Most of the staff , especially housekeeping and the backend team were wonderful. They were quick to respond to every small request, from extra water bottles to towels, and always did it with a smile. Apart from two people at the main reception, everyone we dealt with was polite, warm and efficient.

The hotel is clearly tied up with a network of rickshaw and taxi drivers. That in itself is normal. The problem is how aggressively commission-driven and manipulative it becomes. Every auto / taxi connected to the hotel is, in some way, trying to extract from you overcharging, rerouting you to their “special” shops, pushing paid darshans, and generally treating you as a walking commission, not a guest. We even raised this with the receptionist on the morning of 3rd December. He just smiled and said nothing. No denial, no apology, no attempt to distance the hotel from this behaviour. That silence said everything. It felt less like a one-off problem and more like a system they are comfortable with. The worst incident was when we decided to ignore the hotel rickshaw and simply walk to a nearby saree store on our own. The rickshaw driver then harassed us over the phone, insisting we should go with him instead to his vendors, because otherwise he would “lose his commission” and the hotel would not give him his monthly cut. Hearing him openly mention the hotel’s “monthly cut” was extremely off-putting and made it clear this is not a rogue driver , it’s a whole arrangement. We were also overcharged and pushed into paid darshans that are actually free if you go early (before 5 am the lines are almost empty). We let it go at the time because the amount wasn’t huge for us, but the principle was very disappointing. This kind of soft scamming seems to be common in Varanasi, but it was disheartening to see a property like this fully participating in it instead of protecting guests from it.
