Damion the host was welcoming, kind and responsive before, during and after our stay.
A family reunion with 3 generations and lots of kids, this house was a brilliant space for us. The photos online do not do the space justice- it seemed so much bigger than I thought it would be. The kids enjoyed the arcade games, massive TV and table football. The pool and hot tub were used everyday. Some reviews mention the pool negatively but it's just an old fashioned style pool. According to our group it felt clean and the water is obviously well maintained by damion every morning. We really appreciated that it didn't have the levels of chlorine a public pool would have because my kids skin can react sometimes and it meant they were able to go in everyday. The kitchen is huge and made for gathering. It had everything we needed and the extra fridge was very useful.
The location was great in terms of proximity to York and various supermarkets. We did have an issue having food delivered as it sent them to the wrong place so make sure to leave a guide in the notes. It sits at the entrance to an industrial area on quite a busy road, although I was a bit worried about that at first it turned out to be great-there was no noise or disturbance from the businesses around and it meant we didn't have to worry about any noise we were making. You notice the road noise at night when everything's quiet but it didn't stop us sleeping.
The bin bags,.cleaning products etc were appreciated and the lit candles on arrival were a nice touch.
Overall we were happy and plan on going back when we can.
One of the bathrooms had a bath/shower that was unusable which was a shame.
The beds were quite hard- I realise it's personal preference though and the linen was nice.
A few general maintenance and cleaning things but damion responded quickly to anything brought up and over all everything was OK. If you look at this house and go expecting perfection you'd be disappointed but if it was bougie it'd have a bougie price tag too. It was great for our group and we felt like we could relax because it wasn't super precious.

It was the best experience we’ve had, we had a wonderful time at this property. We stayed 3 days and none stop fun. The swimming pool was amazing, clean and a lot of fun for the everyone the kids and adults. We wanted to extend our stay but it was fully booked. Damion is a lovely lad and helpful. We will surely come back again. Highly recommended

Just returned from a fantastic weekend celebrating a big birthday. 18 women from age 18-72. The house is very spacious and the facilities are fantastic, especially the pool and hot tub.
Kitchen is well equipped and able to cook for 18 without issue, the extra American fridge freezer was a great touch.
Rooms were spotless, looks like new beds and carpets in every room. Beds were really comfortable.
Huge garden with plenty of seating.
The host Damion was lovely. Got in touch before our stay and offered an early check in. Greeted us on arrival and was available for any questions we had. Great service! Will definitely be coming back.

The property was spacious and has a large kitchen which was good for everyone to be in. There was plenty of fridge and freezer space and a big garden area. No issues with living areas.
Neither the swimming pool and hot tub appeared to have any chlorine in. The sides of the pool were dirty and very unclean. The hot tub was brown and had a foul smell after the first night which tells me the water was not fresh or chlorinated.
The garden furniture was very word and the paint was peeling off the chairs and tables. The patio area had not been looked after and there were a lot of very big weeds around the patio.
On arrival we were told one of the showers didn’t work and not to use it. This made it difficult for all 16 of us to get a shower. We were also told not to use some of the lights in the house as they were also broken and had not been fixed for our visit. This was claimed to be the fault of the previous guest but we expect this to be sorted having paid £3k for the weekend.
Overall I would not recommend staying, the pool and hot tub were very unhygienic. We as a group have stayed at much better places than this and would not return.
I did contact the host to tell him these issues and ask for some money back to reflect the value we should have actually paid for what we received and was ignored.
