In der Nacht kam etwas Geruch aus dem Badezimmer und es gab keine Tür zum Bad.

My wife and I were seeking an authentic and less touristy experience of Sicilian life and we found it in Isola delle Femmine at Azzurro Mare. We had a late arrival, thanks to delayed flight and taxi service (Welcome Pickups) cancelling our reserved transfer but when we arrived at the property we were greeted by Rosa & Vito who had waited for us. Thank you both!
We were immediately impressed by the cool marble stairs and flooring. The room and bathroom were spotless, and toiletries were supplied. The aircon and chilled bottled water were much appreciated as temperatures were in the high 30s. There is fully-fitted communal kitchen on the first floor.
The bed was most comfortable and we enjoyed a good night’s sleep. The next day, we discovered the roof terrace where we spent afternoons sunbathing.
The location is ideal, with cafes, restaurants, bars, shops and the harbour all within walking distance.
The memorable parts of our stay at Azzurro Mare include the kindness of Rosa, Vito and the housekeeping team, the cleanliness of the property, the aircon and the chilled, bottled water.
It might be helpful for guests who don’t speak Italian to have a simple guide book, in various languages, explaining the facilities, the rules (e.g. Tourist Tax of €1 per person per night), and the routines (e.g. when towels and bed linen are changed).

die Lage war super, Parkplätze direkt am haus und die Betreiber sehr freundlich
die Wände sind dünn wie Pappe, ich hatte das Gefühl auf dem Couchtisch der Nachbarn zu liegen. Die ganze Nacht war Rambazamba und nachts um 1 Uhr hat jemand angefangen zu bohren. Außerdem ist eine Mikrowelle im Flur, die die ganze Nacht von Menschen benutzt wurde und es war einfach extrem unerholsam.
