Hotel Luna has become my To-Go stay at San Marcos. The convenient location close to the scenic and quiet Reserve and the village center, the comfortable room, the well equipped and specious kitchen and roof-top patio there, and specifically the owner Erminda and her lovely family who are friendly, accommodating and responsive all the time, are the determinant factors making the stay here special and memoriable. Hotel Luna is next to the road leading to the next village San Pablo, which has one authentic local life and will take 20 minutes scenic walk/hike to get to...

Clean and new everything. Comfortable bed, balcony, access to rooftop kitchen. Can pay to use washer. Friendly owners are in and out, so you'll need to call the posted number and wait out front a few minutes to check in as the building entry is kept locked.
Sketchy wifi meant going to cafe daily for working. Water runs out, but that is a city issue and not the property. Others disliked the sound of tuktuks in the street, so best for those okay with city sounds.

Good location, comfy beds & friendly staff
No hot water in the showers, the floors looked like they needed a good clean.
Paper thin walls which meant disrupted sleep
