The hotel was lovely and staff were very good and friendly. The breakfast was lovely the location was excellent. It is a noisy area at weekends but I slept well.
It is a new hotel updated in an old building. It is very lovely but there is a window fan rather than full air con. This was fine by me but I think Americans are used to air con.

The location was perfect. It was within walking distance of everything in Downtown - public transportation, Petco ballpark, Margaritaville where our 5k/10k was, and great food. Also like the history of the building - used to house international students so ceilings were super high and, the bar/restaurant used to be a Speakeasy and still has that vibe.
It was unusually hot in San Diego and while there was an in-room air-conditioner our room was on the warm side.

The pretty interior decor and design. The coffee stations on each floor and the outside space.
The rooms aren’t very sound proof.
There was a wedding at the hotel and multiple rooms rented by the guests of the wedding. There was a lot of movement between the rooms on the floor with doors being kept open and music coming from multiple rooms until 4am. It felt a bit like a dorm.

The rooms had a weird smell, no counter space in the restroom, the ac unit was loud, you can hear everything on the street outside because the ac unit requires the window to be cracked.
