About this cabin rental
Birkie Haven is a quiet cabin with modern conveniences, nestled in 450 acres of forest, far away from city lights, offering privacy and tranquility — perfect for unwinding in peaceful surroundings. This two bedroom well-appointed cabin boasts 14 kilometers of trails right outside your door for hiking, biking, skiing (groomed) or snowshoeing — and the trails connect to the Birkie and CAMBA trails! You'll have access to a lockable shed for your skis, bike, waders, fishing tackle, etc. Relax by the outdoor fire pit and deck or retreat up to the cozy loft (accessible by shipladder/staircase) complete with Roku TV, board games, cards or curl up with a book and enjoy a glass of wine at the pub table overlooking the trails. There is an office area set up for Work-From-Home with free high speed WiFi/internet Both bedrooms have queen beds. Both bedrooms and bathroom are on the first floor. Office desk, large screen TV, and Pub Table are in the 2nd floor loft. Fiireplace in dining area. Shower/bathtub, hair dryer, soaps. Washer/dryer. A/C and ceiling fans. Ample parking for your fishing boat. Gas grill. Kitchen is fully equipped including various coffee makers (drip, Chemex, Keurig, Pixie Nespresso). Short distance to the Namekagon River kayak and canoe launch. Five minute drive to Hayward for dining, shopping, Fishing Hall of Fame, miniature golf, go carts. No smoking, no pets. Damage deposit withheld for smoking or pet situations. Not suitable for children or disabled due to the ship ladder access to the loft. Thank you for viewing and we look forward to your visit

Had a great time at the Birkie cabin. We had everything we needed to make us comfortable and feel at home. Very clean and appreciated the convenience of having a kitchen along with a washer & dryer.

Another wonderful mid-May stay at the Birkie Haven. A few updates to the property since my last stay in October of 2025: a new desk in the loft for those of us who can't escape a little work even while on vacation; new mirrors and tables in the bedrooms; extra storage cubes in the entryway; a new ski rack in the storage shed for winter visitors in addition to the wader rack for those who fish.I love the loft layout of the Birkie Haven. The first floor consists of two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and dining on the first floor with a fireplace. The cozy loft space has additional dining space, the new desk, comfy furniture and large tv for streaming your favorites. Board games if you prefer. Large windows throughout the cabin to view the flora and fauna on the large, wooded lot.The cabin has everything you may need for a stay: all the necessary kitchen appliances including two coffee makers both drip and single serve; ample cookware, plates and utensils; a washer and dryer for longer stays or the unexpected; extra blankets and pillows in case two won't do; a firepit and Adirondacks for an evening of socializing . . .As with previous stays at the Birkie Haven, the owners are very communicative. They promptly respond to any questions or concerns I may have with the property, in general, or the greater Hayward area.
