Great apartment steps off the piazza in Ceglie

Great apartment just steps off the main piazza in Ceglie. It had everything we needed. The roof deck was also really nice, but we didn’t use it much as it was on the colder side when we were there. Host was a great communicator, and very accommodating (including a late check out)

Ok for me, but people with mobility challenges shouldn’t rent this. The steps are steep.

A beautiful house, in a beautiful town.

The property has obviously been recently renovated and it has been done beautifully. The location is perfect for walking to the town square, which is a great place to grab a drink every evening. There is also lots of restaurants nearby. The beds are comfortable. The showers are great. It is a very well equipped house. There isn’t parking at the premises but we always found a space around 5 minutes walk away. Isabelle recommended downloading an offline map of Ceglie Messapica on Google Maps before our arrival. This was very good advice, as the phone signal is poor in parts and Google Maps can go a little crazy. If you want genuine, local cuisine that the locals love you should try Osteria Pugliese just around the corner. Beautiful food and great value for money.

I loved the house. These are not things I didn’t like, but things that are worth mentioning as they might be helpful for future guests. Dropping off luggage at the door was possible but very difficult in a larger car. You should be a very confident driver to attempt this. The stairs in the house are very very steep. I was ok with this, but I thought I would mention it here as people with mobility issues would struggle. The internet is very patchy. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. But that is understandable in this area. If I really needed to use the internet and was struggling, I would go to the roof terrace and use mobile data.
