Gerardo responded quickly to all our requests during our stay. The apartment was ideally located for visiting Rome on foot or by metro. It was comfortable for the four of us, and the nearby shops and restaurants allowed us to live like true Romans. Also, although close to food shops, the street was quiet, even for New Year's Eve.
If you like cooking, you may be missing a few utensils: vegetable peeler, garlic press, etc. (will this be sorted out soon?)

Geraldo the host was a true gentleman, he spent 30 minutes answering our questions and showing us the immediate neighbourhood. The location couldn’t be more perfect, right in the heart of the ancient part of Rome. All the major sites are walkable if you’re half fit, Vatican City, Colosseum, Forum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps. The small back streets are also beautiful and feel very safe. The property has real character with a spiral marble staircase leading up to the front door. We enjoyed watching the locals and ‘world in general’ go by from the elevated perspective.
I wouldn’t say there was anything we disliked per sa, we are all different after all. However, if I could offer some touches that would of perhaps made our stay a little comfier. Soft seating in the lounge for 4 people rather than just 2, such as an L-shaped sofa, would have been nice, especially after a long day on your feet. No air conditioning which we thought would be fine proved a little trickery during the warm nights, although fans were provided. A kettle to boil water, we brits like a cup of tea in the morning ;-) A wardrobe in the front bedroom to hang clothes. None of the above detracted from a wonderful stay, we’d come back again without hesitation.
