This place is absolutely perfect for staying in! It’s fully equipped—from the bedroom and living room to the kitchen—making it an ideal choice for living alone.
It would be even better if the towels could be changed every day.

We stayed with Tonight Homestay during Typhoon Dolphin and although the property we booked was impacted by the weather with some slight flooding, the company quickly moved us to another unit. They did everything they could throughout the whole week to make sure we were comfortable and safe. They went above and beyond and we are truly thankful!! All the apartments we stayed in with them were very comfortable and clean and we would definitely recommend staying with them!
Some apartments could use an extra pot or pan and utensils for cooking

The room does have some strong points : 1) Very well located in the former French concession district with nice restaurants nearby. 2) Staff is reactive and nice. 3) Although we were disappointed with the room, the staff has been professionnal about and offered fair compensation. The overall rating reflects the fairness of the compensation.
When booking you should keep in mind this is not a boutique hotel, it is a network of seperate accommodations located in various residential buildings. With this in mind, the residential buildings in which the accommodations are located are not all of the same standing : some are nice, some are just not. Our disappointement came from the fact that our room was located in a residential building in poor conditions. Passing through a dirty shared kitchen and laundry room to access the room left a bad impression on us although the room was ok.
I would suggest people to read other "bad" reviews to have more context.
