The accommodation is in a fantastic location right by Dongdaemun gate and wall. Some people may find the area sketchy due to its looks but it is just an old style, classic neighborhood with the flea market nearby. It is safe, there's plenty of cameras, people and stores / restaurants nearby zero problems. It is simply not modern looking.
For its price, the room was comfy, the bed and bathroom were big for Seoul's typical hotel size, and it was quite at night.
Likewise, our room was cleaner than we expected.
The kitchen is not really a kitchen, more like a breakfast bar. There's no cooktop so you can only warm up stuff in the microwave or get hot/cold, toast stuff and that's it.
Soundproofing is also lacking, you can hear everything that's going on the aisle.
