Wir hatten einen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt abseits der "Touristeninseln"!
Bereits vor der Anreise nahm das Hotel (Irash) Kontakt mit uns auf und kümmerte sich um den Speedboat-Transfer, sodass die Anreise unkompliziert und stressfrei funktionierte.
Auf der Insel wurden wir von Niya und dem restlichen Personal herzlich empfangen und haben uns sofort willkommen gefühlt. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und gepflegt. Die beiden Kellner Sanjib und Nithin waren unglaublich freundlich und stets bemüht, uns jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen.
Der Strand ist einfach traumhaft – wunderschönes, klares Wasser und eine unglaubliche Atmosphäre. Besonders in Erinnerung wird uns der Schnorchelausflug mit Niya bleiben. Auch das Abendessen am Steg war ein absolutes Highlight: Während dem Abendessen konnten wir die Haie und Rochen beobachten.
Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team für diese wunderschöne Zeit. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und können das Hotel absolut empfehlen!
Zu bedenken ist, dass es sich bei Rakeedhoo nicht um eine typische Resortinsel der Malediven, sondern um eine authentische, von Einheimischen bewohnte Insel, handelt. Auf der Insel gibt es keine touristische Infrastruktur und auch nur ein kleinen Supermarkt. Wir haben uns bewusst für diese Insel abseits des Tourismus entschieden und unsere Erwartungen wurden mehr als nur übertroffen. :-)

My stay at RATTEHI INN was a truly unforgettable experience. From the first day I felt a peaceful and warm atmosphere. A special thank you to Niya for his kindness, attention, and care. He made me feel welcomed and comfortable throughout my stay. The local people were also very friendly, sincere and kind.
Rakeedhoo is a special place were i could finally slow down, relax and recharge my energy. I enjoyed the beautiful nature, the ocean and peaceful island life.
I left this place with a lot of beautiful memories and a feeling of happiness. Thank you for a making my stay so special.

Beautiful island, clean, friendly staff. For the price the actual room is decent. However don't bother paying for the ocean view room as there is practically 0 difference between ocean view and regular as you can't see the ocean due to rocks and trees. They are pretty hospitable and the mosque around the island is nice. The people are pretty friendly as well.
Bad location if you want to do anything worthwhile. 1 tiny restaurant, tiny store with like 4 items. For the price the food is horrible and there is a service charge for everything. They could add a service charge for toilet paper and I wouldn't be surprised. Long story short, good service from staff and beautiful view and... that's about it. Do not stay here longer than like 5 days or you will lose your mind. Also I need to add again how bad the food is. Its tiny as hell, pricey as hell and unless you are used to white people food they literally just dump salt onto every item on the menu.
