Everything! Perfect location and the room was perfect!
The breakfast could be a lot better. There needs to be the option to build your own breakfast with yogurt and fruit.

We stayed at Mabra Suites for four nights and found it to be a comfortable and very convenient base for enjoying the wonderful excursions around El Calafate, including Perito Moreno and El Chaltén. The hotel is just off the main street, with plenty of restaurants, bars and shops within easy walking distance. There is also a Condor Taxi box right next to the hotel, which was very convenient, and we found a laundry service just down the street that was particularly useful during a longer trip. Our room was a good size, clean and comfortable, with a small but perfectly adequate bathroom, and the Wi-Fi worked well. The only minor inconvenience was the central heating, which cannot be individually adjusted in the room.
What really stood out was the helpfulness of the hotel staff. A special mention goes to Luciana at reception, who went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and helped us with everything we needed. Breakfast was less impressive: it was quite basic and, as the breakfast area also operates as a coffee shop for outside customers, had more of a café feel than a hotel breakfast. The breakfast staff were also less warm and welcoming than the rest of the hotel team, and the service sometimes felt somewhat indifferent, which was a pity given the excellent attention we received elsewhere.
Overall, Mabra Suites was a good choice for our four nights in El Calafate. We appreciated its location, the comfortable room and, above all, the personal attention we received from the staff. The cylindrical lift is rather unusual and makes some noise, although fortunately it did not disturb us in our room. We actually preferred using the stairs, as the lift is quite claustrophobic and seems mainly designed for luggage. Despite the average breakfast experience, we had a pleasant stay and would happily consider staying here again.

My stay at Mabra Suites was exceptional from start to finish. The hotel is beautifully designed, with modern, spacious and impeccably clean rooms that provide the perfect place to relax after a day exploring Patagonia. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and every detail of the room felt thoughtfully considered.
The location couldn’t be better, just a short walk from the heart of El Calafate with fantastic restaurants, cafés and shops all nearby. It made exploring the town effortless while still offering a peaceful and quiet place to unwind.
What truly sets Mabra Suites apart, however, is the staff. Everyone was genuinely warm, welcoming and eager to help, making us feel more like guests in their home than customers in a hotel. Their local recommendations and attention to detail made our stay even more enjoyable.
If you’re looking for a stylish, comfortable boutique hotel with outstanding service and an unbeatable location, I can’t recommend Mabra Suites highly enough. I would happily stay here again and will certainly be recommending it to anyone visiting El Calafate.
