Great location and lovely atmosphere in the various districts of the Old Town. It was easy to get to most of the sites on foot.
Could not contact the hosts on arrival at the airport (as arranged with hosts beforehand). The automated phone message just said 'phone back later' in Spanish. This was very worrying so I messaged them via Booking.com app and we got a taxi to the address. Just before our taxi arrived (some 30 minutes later) I got a message from the host - great relief! He turned up five minutes later but with the wrong keys! However, the host went to get the correct keys and 10 minutes later we were shown into the apartment. Not a great start. After that, things went much better.
There are four flights of steep stairs to the apartment.

The location is fantastic. If you are here for Semana Santa, it could not be better. So many processions on Alameda de Hercules, a couple of minutes walk away. Perfect breakfast bread on the corner, to enjoy on the large, fantastic terrace with a view of the rooftops. So central and still quiet - no sound from outside in this locked courtyard.
Two floors to climb with your luggage, but so worth it.
The kitchen is simple, but is well equipped. Only the knives need sharpening 🤷. An umbrella on the terrace table would be a huge improvement. (We had fantastic sunshine and 27° during our Easter week).
The bed is a bit narrow.

The location was excellent, in a quiet side street close to a square full of bars and restaurants. The best of both worlds. It was also great having outside space, with a terrace where we could eat and relax.
