A very pleasant experience

Our stay was in an excellent location with facilities and service to match

The owner/ manager is obviously invested in her project - our arrival was later than scheduled but she was there to welcome us and show us around.She also responded very quickly and positively to my WhatsApp questions. The location is ideally situated - quiet , safe and secure for relaxing days and evenings but less than 10 minutes walk into town for the restaurants and shops.

Uncomfortable and not even a minimal welcome pack to get you started.

The room as such was fine and a good size. The bedroom was ok and the shower/bathroom was good.

While it was billed as self-catering, we had not realised that there was no homestay catering provided. Other facilities such as a pool turned out to be a paddling pool so far as my wife could tell. The trouble with it being self-catering only was that there was no welcome pack for anything, except for some water in the fridge. We would have had to go to a supermarket to have been able to do anything like breakfast or laundry. I'm not even sure there were coffee making facilities let alone coffee. The final straw was that the bed was a wooden board with a thin mattress - we had just had three very uncomfortable nights on a similar bed and could not face more. We checked out on the first morning. The hosts were understanding and charming about it, but overall we were disappointed.
