The hotel is beautiful, and super quiet, since it's technically 3 separate cottages + the reception/restaurant.
The garden is a sight to behold, kept in pristine condition, and you have your own patio area looking out over it. There's trees all around, so you're spotting birds while having the delicious breakfast.
The swimming pool is also very nicely kept, and offers a nice place to cool off. It had a nice temperature, not cold but also not sickly warm like some of the other pools we experienced during our August-September trip (likely on account of the trees providing some shade).
We had lunch twice, and dinner once, during our one night stay. The food is genuinely a stand-out, best rice & curry we had during our trip (especially the dahl had a great consistency and depth of flavour).
The whole team running the place is super friendly, and the host especially makes you feel right at home. She also helped us by booking a guide that showed us around the temples in Anuradhapura and took us to Mihintale, all very last minute, on the day we arrived.
There was a gap in the skylight of our bathroom, it was covered with a grate, but that didn't seal it entirely. Good for ventilation but occasionally some small critters find their way in. It's closed of by a glass door, so they don't make it into the bedroom, but still, something that could be improved.

An amazing boutique hotel in a perfect location for seeing Anuradhapura's temples and palaces. Beautiful design, luxury rooms and stunning garden/pool area. Great breakfasts and wonderful evening meals under the stars. Very quiet location but only minutes by tuk tuk or bicycle from the main sights. Family run with superb staff and service.

very quiet location, still not far from town. bike rental available. very friendly and helpful staff, very delicious breakfast and dinner. clean and warm pool. the room is spacious and well designed, and it even smells good!

Beautiful three-room hotel in the middle of the jungle and biking distance from most of the archeological sites. The staff there was one of the friendliest and kindest we've encountered in Sri Lanka, and that says a lot. The pool was clean and a perfect way to finish the day after exploring the ruins. There are no restaurants in the near vicinity, but fortunately you can eat breakfast and dinner there– food was delicious!
I wish the bikes they rented us were in a better shape, but other than that it was one of the best stays we've had in Sri Lanka.
