A small boutique hotel in an amazing location and beautifully designed. The service was excellent and Chamila, who looked after us, was amazing. The room was spacious and the bathroom with its inside/outside design was a sight to behold.
The quality of the food was excellent but not cheap.

From the moment you arrive, you truly feel like you’ve entered an oasis of peace and immediately feel at home. The personal welcome was wonderful: we were greeted at the door with a refreshing cold towel and a welcome drink, and the hosts immediately took the time to sit down with us and have a chat. With only three rooms, the place feels incredibly intimate and more like staying in a beautiful home than a hotel.
The rooms are absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of nature through huge windows. Everything is exceptionally clean, and waking up to the sound of birds in the garden was magical. The hosts are incredibly kind and genuinely interested in getting to know their guests, while also giving great tips about what to see and do nearby.
The breakfast was delicious, and we also loved relaxing by the pool. They even let us play our own music by the pool without any problem, which really added to the feeling of being completely at home.
We have already stayed in several hotels during our trip through Sri Lanka, and this one truly stands out above the rest. We would absolutely come back! ❤️

Great architecture, brutalist like. We loved the house, room, and pool.
Food was amazing as well (dinner+ breakfast)
Just that the room Windows did not close properly which led to insects coming in at night.

Arachchi Heritage has definitely been one of the highlights of our trip to Sri Lanka. We absolutely loved our stay and would return in a heartbeat.
The property is beautifully designed, with superb sense of architectural style that blends perfectly into its natural surroundings. The huge windows make you feel as if you’re living in the middle of the nature, bringing the outside in. Everywhere you look there’s greenery, birdsong, and a wonderful sense of peace. The different seating and relaxation areas are all thoughtfully designed, each inviting you to slow down and enjoy the setting.
What made the stay truly special, though, was the host family. They are incredibly warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind, making you feel less like a guest and more like a friend visiting their home. Their hospitality is exceptional.
The food deserves a special mention as well. It was absolutely superb. Every meal was fresh, delicious, and prepared with great care, showcasing wonderful Sri Lankan flavors.
If you’re looking for an authentic, peaceful place surrounded by nature, with outstanding hospitality and fantastic food, I couldn’t recommend Arachchi Heritage more highly. We would love to come back.
