Hidden gem in Sigiriya . Ecolodge with all the comforts, including A/c and comfort beds.

The host was so nice and helpful. The room was basic but very clean and spacious. Surrounded by trees and wildlife which was very special. Lovely breakfast

The property is in a very quiet location and it’s immersed in nature. There’s an electric fence around it to stop elephants getting into the garden - so that was exciting. We didn’t see an elephant but there were monkeys in the trees in front by the road and I saw a large lizard in the garden. It was also nice to use the owner’s bikes. Thank you for that
We had a lot of cockroaches in our room and I didn’t feel that the property owner took our concern seriously enough. He said he’d cleaned the room but on the second night when a giant cockroach got into my beer glass which was next to the bed, I was completely freaked out.. We were given another room, but Even then, the owner sent his sister round to help us lug the heavy bags up the stairs to the new room at night. This is the reason for my rating. The owner did not give us the care I expected
