The property is situated perfectly not on the main but not too far from it either. In a very calm & relaxing area.

I am a fussy, guy. I only do five star hotels in places I can afford, i.e. Greece, Turkey, Egypt. Places I cannot afford 5 star, I stay with family such as Jamaica and US. Although I have done the MGM Grande in Vegas and a four star in California many years ago. However, I had to do something different as I travelled to Portland Jamaica for a few days. Hence my review for this property, which is an upgrade to the Master room, from the Finn room. The room/studio was beautiful and big, ideal for a couple. The facilities, a small swimming pool with different coloured lighting at night, and a Jacuzzi were exceptional for a self catering property. It had a massive TV with everything on it, Netflix, Prime etc, never seen that in any five star hotel I have stayed in. Hotel screens are usually relatively small and not fully loaded. I don't normally watch any TV, but as I was on my own, watching YouTube and a bit of Netflix before sleep was nice. The shower was better equipped than any five star hotel I have been to as well, but you need your own shower gel. The studio had everything you need, including airfrer, microwave, a more than big enough fridge freezer, proper coffee machine, good cutlery and knives etc to cook with. The only thing I didn't see was an iron and ironing board, but I am sure it would have been available if I asked. I liked that it had an excessive amount of electrical connections, uncluding USB, if you don't have any Jamaican plug converters you could still charge phones and any other devices.The side bed lamps were impressive too, they have USB charge ports and tap to dim and and turn on and off. The bed was very comfortable loads of pillows so you could easily get a comfortable position to watch the TV at night as well. The air conditioning was the most adaptable and easy to control that I have used, really powerful, as cold or mild as you would like.

From a fussy guy there was very little not to like. The location is only 10-15 mins drive from Port Antonio and it is just a turn of the coastal road, it is very easy to find on GPS. Booking.com erroneously places it close to Moore Town which made it look hard to find. The closet stores are in Port Antonio, you can get anything you want to eat there. But don't expect international cuisine. I would get my provisions during the day, I didn't feel comfortable driving those bending roads without lights at night, but that might not be an issue for the average driver. My only issue with the facilities were the scratched non stick pans. I didn't want those forever chemicals in my food so I only used them to boil eggs, after second thoughts. I would suggest some pans without the teflon coating that the guests can't spoil. Checkout is a bit too early, 11am, that's beacuse the cleaners come to tidy up not long after 11am, but Bobby did allow me to checkout a later as I don't think they had a booking for my room the next day. They could have shined all the silver taps a bit, that would have made it perfect in regards to cleanliness, it was very clean though. I was going to give the experience a 9 as nothing is perfect, and I am fussy. But, in all honesty, I feel it would be an injustice to give it less than a 10, as I don't believe I will ever find a self catering property as fully loaded as this one.

I didn't expect the owner room to be right in front of the pool area.
