The cleanliness of the oven was disappointing.

The village is lovely, location of the house is great, overlooking beautiful countryside with a private garden. 3 decent sized bedrooms. There's a small amount of road noise but it's a quiet road and not really noticeable.
Sofas and beds were fine but most of the furniture needs updating, looks like cheap second hand tables, mirrors, pictures etc. Didn't add to the character of the cottage, just looked like old stuff that no one else wanted.
Big cobwebs in every room, on ceilings and in the corners of rooms, dust around skirting boards and sockets, food under settee. Dirty plates and pans, kitchen cupboard handles greasy, all had to be cleaned. I appreciate it's an old cottage and it's self catering but still expect a better level of cleanliness when arriving.
