The property was beautiful & so clean. The pictures do not do it justice. The kitchen was so well equipped, home from home. The host was fabulous & response always quick. Also goodies waiting in the fridge which as we had a late arrival was greatly appreciated. There is a good bus service into the city. The garden is beautiful, lots of wasps but they weren’t bothersome like the ones in the uk. Pool fabulous in the heat. Quiet area, there is a primary school next door but the noise is just children playing at break time & didn’t bother us. Lovely peaceful break away from it all. Would recommend if you want peace. Also some fabulous places to visit by car not too far away. It’s a fabulous area in Spain.
There was some kind of a celebration where many people of all ages gathered right outside the front door on the Friday night. I think it was possibly the end of a religious celebration. And while as a one off it wasn’t a problem I was surprised by the amount of rubbish they left in the street outside. This is just part of the village though. The only other warning would be the mosquitoes. Please take a really good repellent. Our usual European repellent didn’t work at all. Consider taking some serious stuff. I personally suffered worse bites than I’ve had in tropical areas. Would it put me off, no not at all it’s lovely here, I’d just bring stronger repellant. We only tried one local restaurant which wasn’t great but we enjoyed having bbq’s in the lovely garden.
