Short drive or bike ride away is quaint Aptos village with two wonderful coffee shop cafes, a wonderful large holistic natural market with fresh ready made food, cheeses, wine selection, baked goods, salad bar and more. And of course, walking short distance to the gorgeous Seacliff Beach. Incredible weather year long, no smog, rarely noises except birds and waves depending on weather. Very tranquil and peaceful from the moment you walk in. Very warm and welcoming.

Well mannered pets welcome and their owners if diligent about cleaning. Dogs love the walk down the wood staircase to the ocean at BeachGate only a few minutes walking distance from the beach cottage or longer route walking down concrete State Park Beach entry path nearby. Often early morning few people around so can let the dogs run free along shore and into the waves. Bring baggies for picking up after them. (Free to people walking or driving after hours.). Beach chairs and umbrellas in garage along with beach towels and boogie boards.

Short drive to Santa Cruz and charming Capitola with many wonderful seafood and Mexican restaurants and entertainment nearby as well as downtown shopping in quaint old part of Santa Cruz. Lots of music venues with incredible live music, surfing and hiking.
