Make sure they fixed their bed bug problem before booking

The property was in a very central location, quite close to a lot of restaurants, attractions, shops, pubs and bars. The overall look of the property was good, had nice facilities and looked clean. Hosts tried to find solutions to our problems relatively quickly, but there still were problems. The host provided a replacement apartment, but the damage was done :) This was the only reason I raised the score back to 3 stars and not just 1.

First, the provided code to the door was wrong. Which took around 20-30 minutes on the phone with a call service to fix and be able to access the property, after providing a lot of identification info. Secondly, they had bed bugs. This not only ruined our stay in this location, but the entire vacation (Lisbon was just the first part of a two-week vacation) 1. we had to wash and heat dry all of our clothes 2. we wasted a lot of time and had to move to a new location 3. we had to buy medication and a few days later even had to go to the hospital because the bites on my wife's hand got infected (she's now on an antibiotics treatment) 4. We had to buy a steamer, to sterilize all our clothes and luggage, to make sure we would not bring any bed bugs home 5. overall discomfort (itchiness, pain, visible marks that last 10+ days, all vacations photos ruined ...) 6. The host did not reply to any more messages, even if they said they would at least pay for the Bolt ride (6euros) to the new apartment. They did not do even that.

Appartement confortable, bien équipé, lumineux et très calme la nuit. Très bien placé pour visiter Lisbonne, métro à proximité. Trajet aéroport appartement en 40mn.

Une cafetière pour café moulu serait un plus.
