Well located in a very friendly village, good eating options in walking distance or a short drive, parking was not an issue for us, as some have mentioned, if, say you have been to many other beautiful old villages in the uk, you would not expect stone walls that have stood for hundreds of years to be demolished to accomadate vehicles, and we found that even if the passenger has to disembark before parking to share the road space that this hardly constitutes a problem, GO, you will enjoy Youlgreave

What a fab little cottage in a beautiful village. We only passed through on our way somewhere else and decided we needed to return for a weekend stay. The cottage was in a fabulous location with parking bang outside the rental (albeit very narrow as you would expect in such a historic village)
A stones throw from the 3 pubs and village amenities. We ate at The Bull Inn and have to say it was INCREDIBLE and so, so friendly, in fact every pub was the same. Little village shop and cafe had everything you could have needed and locally produced cakes and meat. The cottage was very well equipped, comfortable and cosy in the evenings. Pint of milk in the fridge was a welcome addition. We will definitely be going back!
I cannot think of anything I would change about this rental.

We like the homely character of the accommodation. It is charming and cosy, my daughter liked her room, and the lounge is just right for 3 persons. We loved the kitchen, it is furnished with utensils, crockery, bin liners, glasses, plates, etc. There is a space at the back where we thought of having a bbq. Unfortunately, it was raining on Sat afternoon and did not have a chance on the following day as we were home later on the day.
The place is quiet, it is also nice walking in the vicinity, the further you walk, the better is the scenery.
The heating kept on going even if put on dial 0 in the masters bedroom. We needed to open the windows on the 2nd and 3rd nights to regulate the temperature in the bedroom as it was hot on the 1st night.
