Very disappointing — the reality is far from the listing photos

The only positive aspect of our stay was the location, which was quite convenient. The French Quarter was approximately a 25-minute walk away, making it relatively easy to explore the area on foot.

Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. The property looks clean, comfortable and well-maintained in the Booking.com pictures, but the reality was very different. The accommodation showed clear signs of poor maintenance throughout: damaged flooring, deteriorating baseboards, loose door fixtures, peeling wall coverings, poorly finished repairs and an electrical outlet that appeared improperly fitted. These were not isolated issues but part of the overall condition of the property. Cleanliness was also concerning. The bedding and towels had visible debris and particles on them, and we even found a live insect inside a fixture. Comfort was another major issue. The mattress was clearly worn out and felt like it was well past the point of needing replacement. On top of that, the air conditioning unit was incredibly noisy and positioned right next to the bed, making it very difficult to get a proper night’s sleep. Even basic necessities were lacking. We were provided with only one roll of toilet paper. We requested more on our first day and were assured it would be delivered the following day. It never arrived. We did not report every maintenance issue during our stay, but I think it is important to distinguish between an unexpected problem that arises during a guest’s visit and the general condition of a property. These were visible signs of deterioration and poor maintenance that should have been addressed before welcoming guests. It is neither realistic nor reasonable to expect guests to identify and report every defect in an accommodation that is already in such poor condition. We are not expecting luxury. We simply expect a clean, properly maintained and comfortable place to sleep, consistent with what is advertised. Ultimately, we felt so uncomfortable that we chose to leave one day early, even though we had already paid for the final night. I strongly encourage future guests to look beyond the listing photographs.

This studio apartment fits it's name COZY its in a great location, nice quiet neighborhood, walking distance to all the attractions and the host was very accommodating. I would refer this studio to everyone.
