The hosts were a lovely. charming couple and wanted to help wherever they could. Villi's English is not very good but far better than my non-existent Greek.
The location was good for exploring the whole of the island by car or on foot. The nearest beach Erimitis is a moderately difficult, steep walk down but for an early morning swim was usually empty and beautiful.
In the village, Cafe Bournaos was good for coffee or lunch snacks, Restaurants To Seki tou Pappau, was our favourite. Nearby Lakka has lots of restaurants. Paximadi has excellent food and is sensibly prices, (book in advance), as is Vontza near Gaia. Fontana village has several tavernas for lunch.,
Inside the property the air conditioning worked perfectly and quietly although the outside temperature was in the middle 30s. The garden was lovely. Very well tended with bougainvillea, hibiscus, ferns and a large olive tree to sit under in the shade. A lovely secluded place to sit looking out over more olive trees.
Villa Loulaki was very difficult to find. In the end the owner met us by the supermarket but if the instructions had been that the villa was behind Taverna Ilas (not to be confused with restaurant Ilias) at the southern end of Magazia, it would have been straightforward.
A little maintenance is needed in the property to fix shutters, door handles, shower head. It wasn't a problem for us but might be for someone expecting perfection. It all added to the quirkiness of the property.
An electric kettle would have been good.

Το κατάλυμα «Νεφέλη» είναι ονειρικό πέτρινο σπιτάκι μέσα σε πανέμορφο κήπο με βουκαμβίλιες, λεμονιές, αλόη και διάφορα μικρό-λούλουδα. Το κλιματιστικό ενισχύει τη δροσιά της πέτρας και το γαλλικό κρεβάτι ξεκουράζει την πλάτη από την ταλαιπωρία της παραλίας.
Σχετικά μακριά από παραλίες. Χρειάζεσαι αυτοκίνητο. Σε αποζημιώνει όμως ο οικισμός που τα έχει όλα στο ένα βήμα.
