I have stayed in a couple of the other lodges on the site and like those this lodge was pleasant, clean, comfortable and the location is great. Everything you need for an escape away.
It was meant to be a relaxing stay. Only 8.45am on a Saturday morning someone was petrol strimming the bushes & tress. No chance of a lazy morning, or reading on the decking. This lasted till around 1.30pm. I appreciate that maintenance work needs to be done but a courtesy email before hand would have made us prepared or possibly to reschedule our stay. It just let our weekend down unfortunately as the noise was awful.
